Unpolished. Unshaken. Unapologetically Building Anyway.
From hands stained red from colouring mangoes to global supply chains, from fearing flights to keynote stages. I’ve built my legacy by trusting my instincts and refusing to disappear, even when the world told me to.
As a child, I was no stranger to the art of salesmanship a trait undoubtedly inherited from my father, whose urban farming endeavors imbued me with a deep appreciation for the hustle. Despite our humble beginnings in what many would consider the ghetto, our backyard resembled a lush oasis, brimming with chickens, fruit trees, and crops a living testament to his entrepreneurial spirit.
I’ve been selling since I had baby teeth.
I picked mangoes, colored them with Kool-Aid, and sold them from the top of our stairs in Trinidad, alongside avocadoes no older than 8 or 9. I didn’t know the word “entrepreneur” then. I just knew I liked the feeling of earning, saving, and creating.
At 13, I got my first paycheck in a brown envelope. I saved every cent in the credit union and used it to start my first real business.
By 18, I had launched my first official venture: Beezy Buddy Office Supplies, a brand still in operation today built on resourcefulness, longevity, and quiet consistency. That early foundation taught me how to lead with both heart and hustle.
My Companies Today
I now lead three businesses that reflect my values and voice:
Beezy Buddy Supplies – my first venture and a tribute to staying power, serving entrepreneurs with affordable essentials and always-on support
Your Equipment Suppliers (YES) – founded to help Caribbean entrepreneurs access high-quality food and agri-processing equipment to scale with confidence
Roll Ice Cream (RIC) – a dessert equipment and training brand helping “dessertpreneurs” around the world turn their dreams into reliable, delicious realities.

The Breaking Point That Realigned Me
In 2019, I lost nearly everything.
My business and finances were entangled with someone who was both my husband and my partner. When it all collapsed, I had nothing. Clients waiting. My mother depending on me. My bank account empty.
I could have disappeared. But I didn’t. I repaid every customer. I rebuilt from zero…..quietly, fiercely.
Two years later, I stood on stage in Washington telling that same story: Failing Upward.
Funny how that works.
I used to be afraid of flying.
Now I fly for a living—and speak to rooms full of people who see themselves in my story.
The Lie I Stopped Believing
For years, I pretended to be just “the manager” of my own company. I thought:
“I don’t look the part.”
“I’m not polished enough.”
“Let the work speak.”
Now I speak for my work. Because the truth is:
I am the aesthetic. Even if I’m not the standard.
Unapologetically unpolished. Loud in my values. Clear in my craft.
And if I don’t show up, how will women who look like me know they can?
Home Is the World and Still Trinidad
Today I run all three companies from anywhere: hotel lobbies, tuk-tuks, rooftops in Thailand. I’ve inspected suppliers in China, trained clients across the Caribbean, and held meetings on beaches and planes.
Being a digital nomad CEO isn’t a trend it’s a choice. A declaration of freedom.
And everywhere I go, I carry Trinidad with me.
When I greet someone with Shubh Divali or Eid Mubarak, and they ask how I know… I get to say: “We celebrate that too.”
That’s the richness I come from.
What I Believe About Business
People think pretty sells. It does.
Once.
But quality?
Quality sustains.
Pretty = One transaction
Quality = Legacy
I didn’t build my businesses to impress.
I built them to impact. And that’s a completely different strategy.
Legacy in Motion
Over the last decade, I’ve helped over 200 businesses across 12 countries launch or scale, whether through equipment, consulting, or mentorship. I coach entrepreneurs (especially Caribbean and BIPOC women) who’ve been told to shrink themselves. I remind them:
Quiet doesn’t mean unqualified.
You don’t have to sound like everyone else to be taken seriously.
I’m currently writing my next book, From Barrel Baby to Parent (title in progress) a deeply personal reflection on caring for the people who once raised you, while breaking generational cycles and building businesses of your own.
It’s not the center of my brand but it’s the heartbeat behind it.
What I Know For Sure
We’re all called to something.
Some of us hear it early. Some of us hear it only when it’s gone.
But this, these brands, this voice, this life, is my something. Or maybe it’s leading me to it.
I don’t need to have it all figured out.
I just trust.
And I allow myself to be led.
I’m not here to be the most polished woman in business.
I’m here to be the most present one.
The most consistent. The most honest.
Because somewhere out there is a brown-skinned girl, soft-spoken and unsure, watching.
And if I stay hidden, she might never step forward.
So I show up. Unpolished. Unshaken.
And I build anyway.
I’ve penned over 6 books, available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Ebay, Walmart to name a few
These dive into my world explore the insights I’ve poured into those pages.
