As a child, I was no stranger to the art of salesmanship, a trait undoubtedly inherited from my father, whose urban farming endeavors imbued me with a deep appreciation for the hustle. Despite our humble beginnings in what many would consider the ghetto, our backyard resembled a lush oasis, brimming with chickens, fruit trees, and an assortment of crops—a testament to my father’s entrepreneurial spirit.

From my earliest memories, the art of selling has been ingrained in my DNA, a legacy passed down. But my journey truly took flight when, at a young age, I found myself thrust into the world of commerce, shouldering the part time responsibilities of provider and entrepreneur after my father’s untimely passing.

As I navigated the winding paths of adolescence, the allure of entrepreneurship remained a constant beacon, guiding me through the trials and triumphs of life. Yet, like many, I found myself drawn into the formal realm of employment, seeking stability and security in the structured confines of corporate life.

But it wasn’t long before I realized that the traditional office environment was not where I belonged. A brief stint as a secretary at a wireless company left me feeling suffocated by the monotony of office work, prompting a swift pivot in pursuit of a more hands-on occupation. Thus, I made history as the country’s first female cable technician—a trailblazer in a male-dominated field.

Yet, even as I shattered barriers and forged new pathways, I soon discovered that technical work alone failed to fulfill me. The thrill of problem-solving and the satisfaction of mastering new skills were undeniable, but I yearned for the dynamism of administrative duties to complement my technical prowess.

In time, I came to realize that true fulfillment lay in striking a delicate balance between the technical and administrative realms. Each in isolation proved overwhelming and monotonous, but together, they formed the perfect harmony—a symphony of innovation and organization that fueled my entrepreneurial spirit.

And so, armed with a newfound clarity and an unwavering determination to chart my own course, I embarked on a journey to create businesses that embraced the intersection of technical expertise and administrative finesse. From Beezy Buddy’s aromatic haven to YES’s transformative empowerment and Roll Ice Cream LLC’s sweet indulgence, each venture embodies the essence of balance and innovation, a testament to the resilience and vision that define my entrepreneurial odyssey.

Through all the ups and downs, my journey has been one of resilience, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of balance. From my humble beginnings selling goods from our urban farm to breaking barriers as the country’s first female cable technician, I’ve learned the value of adaptability and perseverance. Each venture—Beezy Buddy, YES, and Roll Ice Cream LLC—reflects my commitment to blending passion with practicality, creating businesses that not only thrive but also inspire.

For many years, I’ve been shy and apprehensive about revealing my true self, preferring to let my work speak for me. You’ll find very little about me online because I’ve always kept a low profile. But as 2024 unfolds, that’s going to change. I believe it’s time to share my story, my journey, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

So here’s to new beginnings, to stepping out of the shadows and embracing the spotlight. To all the dreamers and doers out there, let my journey be a testament to the power of resilience, innovation, and the courage to forge your own path. Together, let’s continue to break barriers, challenge the status quo, and create a future brimming with endless possibilities.
